I haven’t posted a new picture for a long while due to the recent passing away of my loving Father-in-law Everett Grant Bigelow (June 7, 1923 – July 20, 2012). He is sadly missed by many and it is only fitting that my next photo is dedicated to his memory. Born in Englehart in Northern Ontario, he spent most of his childhood and young adult years living in the surrounding area. When he was around 7 or 8 years old his family moved to Cochrane Ontario where this picture was taken. He loved to reminisce about his early years throughout this beautiful and somewhat remote part of Ontario. This photo shows a small portion of Commando Lake in the town of Cochrane. I chose this photo for its great lighting. I particularly like the bright edges highlighting all of the clouds as well as the way the blue sky and brilliant green grass compliment one another. The ripples in the water help create a pleasant soft reflection of the scene.
