Undecided Tulip

A sure sign that spring is finally here is when our tulips bloom and they have done just that over the last few days. As we were enjoying their beauty we came across this very unusual tulip. It is not that unusual to see a streak of different colour in one petal, but this unique red and yellow tulip changes colour along a very straight line that bisects the flower right down the middle. Even the individual petals are divided along this line with one half a solid red and the other a variegated yellow and red. I searched google for images of a similar tulip, but found none. Needless to say I had to grab my camera to capture and share this interesting find. Hope you enjoy it as much as we did.
